A Walk in the Woods!!

Recently we visited our old stomping grounds, Dayton, Ohio. It was a nostalgic trip for our family. We spent wonderful moments with friends, ate fabulous food and visited some of our favorite spots. This picture was taken at Grant Nature Preserve. I love this picture!!! My family is walking down this beautiful path together. I've never done this before...but I'm asking for my readers to share your comments on this picture. When you look at this picture, what do you see? (Besides a group of people walking).

What a beautiful trail! As you know, that is one thing I really miss about East TN - the hiking.

Looking at the picture I quickly noticed that it appears your girls are holding hands. So sweet! I also noticed Elijah's shadow cast by the one ray of sun peeking through the tree branches.

I can almost smell the fresh, woodsy air!

I see a family leaving their legacy down the road of life, and of course the mom is the one pulling up the rear making sure no one gets left behind and documenting it for future generations.

Dad leads his family down the path of Life. Nobody knows what lies ahead, but dad continues to guide. He has to, that is what he has been called to do- Lead. Mom trails behind for Encouragement and nurturing her family needs as they travel down the path of “unknowns”. She is the “Constant” her family looks to in order to survive the storms yet to come. She has to, that is what she has been called to be- The Lighthouse.

Gina, thank you for seeing me in the picture. Yes, I was the one pulling up the rear. (And in this case I wasn't the one being the rear). Truly, it was an incredible evening with God's creation all around.

Greetings,
My name is Jay Sappington. I'm searhcing for my old friend from Trinity Evangelical School, ca 1998, Mark Murdoch. I found references to a Mark Murdoch in a couple of your old blog entries. Is it the same one? If so, would you please give him my email address and ask him to contact me. I'm only in the States for a couple of weeks. I teach at a school for missionary kids in West Africa.

Thanks.

P.S. I'm new to blogging. I don't even know what kind of "identity" to choose below. Hope this works.

I must be honest...the very first thing I noticed was that I think Hannah has outgrown me! :) After that though, I couldn't help but notice Elijah. He looks like the most curious one of the bunch-at least at the moment-lagging behind a little and checking out the rocks along the way.
